When Bright Dogs initially opened, my 11-month-old Golden Doodle loved to socialize with new friends at Bright Dogs' indoor dog park. One day, my Doodle, Benny, and I were alone at the facility when Kyle introduced a rescued Cane Corso into the same enclosed area without a leash or collar. Upon witnessing the other dog growling at me, my dog immediately positioned himself in front of me. The Cane Corso broke free from Kyle's grasp and collided with me, causing its teeth to graze my hand before attacking Benny. As a result, I sustained broken skin on my hand and multiple contusions on both legs, while my dog was also physically and emotionally injured.
Kyle denied the incident occurred, as Diana was not present, but his younger daughter was. Kyle failed to file an injury incident report. I provided pictures and documentation of my injuries and medical bills, but they refused to accept responsibility or cover my medical expenses.
I shared my experience on my Facebook groups, prompting Diana to contact me and demand that I remove the posts by 9 am that day, threatening that her attorney would file a restraining order against me otherwise. I declined to remove the posts and never heard from her attorney.
The owners, Kyle and Diana, demonstrated a lack of professionalism and accountability, for the incident and our mine and Benny's injuries. I would not recommend trusting them with your dogs. I spoke with several individuals who had used Bright Dogs as a boarding facility and were dissatisfied with their dogs' treatment there upon pickup. They were reluctant to post reviews due to fear.
.
Years later, my husband and I raised funds for the Bright Dogs outdoor food exchange box at the Pets on 66 event. After the event, I dropped off the funds with Diana at the Bright Dogs tent but did not receive even a thank-you. Despite Diana and Kyle's denial, I possess medical reports and photographs as evidence. The incident occurred, and I have documentation to support my claims. -
