I saw Sophia at the Glendale office. On my first visit, I felt the front office staff were more interested in their conversation with each other than the patients. It was a very "cold" appointment and it being my first visit I felt they could have explained a little about the exam. For instance, why do you need 3 people in the exam? Still, I feel it's important to have routine visits, so I went back the next year. The office staff is still the same--aloof and uninterested in connecting with the patient. This time I arrived early--as they suggested and proceeded to wait in the exam room for another 30 minutes before the doctor came to see me. She apologized so that was nice. I had a concern which she explained were skin tags and that insurance wouldn't cover freezing them, but she said she would take care of them for me and wouldn't bill. I think she felt bad making me wait so long. (The spray was there on the counter in the room, and it was 20 seconds of spraying one area.) She told the MA not to bill. Then a month later, I got a bill. I explained to the billing person the situation and they were going to check into it and call me back. When they called back, they explained the doctor didn't bill for the skin tags but mysteriously now there was a SECOND procedure she had billed for--I have no idea what they are saying the doctor did. There were no other procedures and when I asked to speak to the doctor about it, she never called. I am extremely frustrated that they can just make up other things to bill for. She sprayed one area for 20 seconds; she did nothing more. I still have no idea what I am being billed for. I won't go back. I don't recommend Sophia, and I don't recommend the clinic.
