We’re deeply disappointed with our recent experience (July 22–Aug 4). Due to an urgent change in plans, we requested an earlier drop-off for our dog, but were told it wasn’t possible. When we arrived slightly early and waited outside, a staff member charged us a $17 “hiking” fee—even though we only walked our dog nearby to relieve itself, well outside the leash-free zone.

Despite explaining our situation, the staff was dismissive and only accepted our dog after we paid the unexpected fee.

To make matters worse, when we picked up our dog, she had clearly lost weight, and her food bucket was nearly full—indicating she hadn’t been properly fed. At no point during the stay did anyone contact us about this, which is unacceptable.

The entire experience felt unprofessional, unsupportive, and lacking in basic compassion. We won’t be returning and hope others take this into account before booking.
