The Best!!
From the moment I walked into Remedy Spa, I felt an immediate sense of calm and warmth. The salon itself is beautifully decorated, creating a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Melissa and her staff greeted me with such kindness and professionalism that I instantly felt at ease.
Melissa’s expertise is truly impeccable. During my initial consultation, she was incredibly thorough, taking the time to understand my skin concerns before implementing a personalized treatment plan. Her knowledge and attention to detail were evident right away.
I have been coming to Remedy Spa for over a year now, receiving various treatments that have completely transformed my skin. I am sharing my review based on the information I received from Melissa, regarding the Halo laser treatment, as well as my personal experience with it. Melissa is clearly very skilled and has extensive experience with the Halo laser. I truly appreciate her expertise, but I believe there could have been more transparency about the potential outcomes and recovery process. A bit more thorough explanation upfront would have helped set clearer expectations and build even greater trust.

When I first spoke to Melissa, I shared my concerns about hyperpigmentation and a few minimal freckles on my face. She immediately recommended the Halo laser, highlighting how effective the results could be.

I asked about downtime, as my job requires me to wear an N95 mask, and Melissa reassured me that I would be able to return to work in just a few days with only "some small dark spots" on my face and that I would see a significant improvement within a week. While this was helpful information, I didn’t fully realize the intensity of the recovery process until after the treatment, including the swelling and discomfort.

On the day of the procedure, Melissa mentioned that I would feel “some” heat afterward. They offered Pronox to help with the pain, which was a bit helpful, but the sensation was quite intense. It felt like my face was burning, and the heat lasted for several hours. The next day, my face swelled up and 4 days later it darkened. I had to take seven business days off work. During this time, wearing an N95 mask was not an option due to the pain and rawness of my skin.

By the 9th day, I felt my skin wasn’t improving as expected, so I asked Melissa to assess it. She reassured me that my skin was looking “beautiful,” though I still felt it wasn’t quite there yet. My face is red, slightly swollen, and experiencing breakouts like milia and acne, which they’ve explained is normal during the healing process. While I’m still dealing with some discomfort and anxiety as I care for my skin, I keep reminding myself to “trust the process.”

Despite some of the challenges I’ve faced, I still trust Melissa’s expertise and care. Moving forward, I believe clearer communication about what to expect with pain, downtime, and recovery would benefit clients and make the experience even more positive. I truly appreciate Melissa’s dedication to her craft and know that being more transparent upfront would help set everyone up for the best possible experience.
