The office staff is very personable. Quality workmanship and completed in a timely manner.
DO NOT WORK WITH SOUTHERN ELITE CONTRACTING!
I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience with Southern Elite Contracting, and I strongly advise others to steer clear of this company.
From the start, the contract terms were heavily skewed in favor of the company, making it difficult for subcontractors to make a decent living. They promise a percentage of profits, but in reality, subcontractors see only a fraction of that—around 9.3% of the revenue generated. It feels incredibly exploitative, especially given the amount of effort and dedication put into each job.
The management approach is also problematic. Subcontractors are expected to fulfill roles as both sales reps and project managers, yet they are only compensated for one position. This unrealistic expectation leads to burnout and a decline in the quality of work.
Moreover, their handling of profit margins is concerning. They take 50% to 60% of what the insurance company pays out, leaving subcontractors with little incentive to push for better outcomes. You often find yourself caught in a high-pressure environment where your hard work is not properly rewarded.
Communication was another major issue; I felt unsupported and disrespected throughout my time there. The use of religion to build trust was concerning and seemed like a manipulative tactic rather than genuine support.
Overall, my experience with Southern Elite Contracting was incredibly negative and has left me feeling taken advantage of. I recommend looking elsewhere for contracting work or services to avoid the headaches and frustrations I faced. Save yourself the trouble and choose a company that values its employees and operates with integrity.
