This past weekend I had a very bad experience with the Rock Store and I wanted to share in hopes of helping the next person.
I received a newsletter from the store on Thursday afternoon which included an update that numerous tea leaf reading spots were open on Friday. In haste, I proceeded to book an appointment for the following day at 1pm, but later realized that due to my financial circumstances, this was a mistake and booked in error. When booking, and in the confirmation email there were NO details on cancellation policies, refunds, rescheduling etc. Had the policy been clearly stated I would have made a different decision.
On Thursday evening I sent and email, and left a message first thing on Friday morning to let them know. I had to call back at noon as I had not heard back, and at 1215 I was told I would not be refunded or be able to reschedule. Given my appointment was at 1pm, I was unable to attend as they had let me know so late.
As a result, I wasted $62 and have nothing to show for it. Poor communication, a lack of empathy, and non transparent cancellation policies as well as terrible customer service is what I received at The Rock Store. A a previous loyal customer, i will be taking my business elsewhere after this incident.
