I thought the cost was outrageous. $850 for 1/2 of installation and a (approximate) $250 garage door opener kit. The technician even had the nerve to request a 15% (over $120 tip). Home Depot quoted about half the price for parts and labor. I believe they installed an older, discontinued model. The quality of work was fine, the technician was upfront about the cost when he arrived, and the work was done very quickly. If its not an emergency, I would save your money and go to HD or hire a handyman.
